New season starts this weekend

News/events

Finally the wait is over, and a little bit of sunshine to go with it.

Come and support the Saints this season.

Can the 1st eleven go better this season? just falling short last season in both the league and the T20 competition. The team will be led by long standing, experienced and tenacious captain Adam Hawley. with valuable experienced players in the squad including Scott Kirwin, Ben Tighe, Liam Parkinson to name a few. We also welcome back Lahiru Jayakody for his second spell at Denton St Lawrence CC. The Young Sri Lankan will be hoping to go even better this season, having experienced English conditions for he first time in 2017. Good luck Larry.

The 1st team open up their account with a tough trip to Woodbank @ 12.30pm.

The 2nd team will be looking to impress in Division 3 East having gained promotion last season. A relatively young squad, but with a good mix of youth and experience. The 2nd team will be led this season by Andrew Moore (Archie) with valuable support From Danny Hall, Jody Clough, Danny Moss and Mark Selby. Along with the future of our club in some U18 players, this could be an interesting season. New teams in the league include Greenfield, Werneth, Glodick and a few more. All new grounds to most of us and a new set of players to pick our wits with. this weekend the 2nd team will open up at home against Unsworth 1pm start

The 3rd team will be Led by the young Daniel Moriarty. A great prospect for the future we are sure. The 3rd team consists of a mixture of 2nd team squad players and players from our youth set up. This is where senior cricket starts for the younger lads.   All will be looking to improve, gain experience, and push for the 2nd team. The 3rd team open up at home to  Friarmere Oddfellows 2pm start.
