Friday night’s GMCL20 match at home to Whalley Rangers was abandoned after just 7 overs, as the forecast rain unfortunately materialised.
Having won the toss, 20-over Skipper Kyle O’Reilly put the visitors in to bat in drizzly conditions. 44 runs and 3 wickets (2 for Mark Selby & 1 for Neil Hornbuckle) later, the drizzle had developed into something rather heavier, which would force the players from the field, never to return.
Both teams take 1 point from the abandonment.
