Can the Saints keep marching

News/events

After 2 great results from the 1s and 2s last weekend, we have all 3 senior teams in action this coming weekend.

The first piece of action at Sycamore Park this weekend sees Adam’s first XI taking on Clifton. this could be the game of the round. Adam will be hoping for more of the same from last weeks victory away to Astley and Tyldesley. Scott Kirwin hitting a well deserved ton in the first match of the season with 119, and vital runs also coming from M Sonczak 70*and N HornbuckleĀ  57. While with the ball B Tighe the pick with 4 for 8. Neil also picking up 4 wickets

Wickets pitched at 12.30pm

Kyle takes the 2s to play another first XI in Micklehurst. A great win against Springhead first XI sets this up nicely. wickets were spread around on the day. With the bat young up and coming M Hoyle it a valuable 40 while M Hawley was allegedly out for 34 LBW. The game was over with the best part of 18 overs left with M Dillnutt finishing 46* at the end.

Narrowly missing out on the bonus point, Kyle’s men will be hoping to go 1 better this week.

Wickets pitched 12.30pm

Sunday sees the first game of the season for the 3s who travel to Uppermill on Sunday, where Liam Scholes will be hoping to emulate the 1s and 2s with a first win. Last weeks game was cancelled so nothing to report.

Wickets pitched 13.30.

With the current restrictions ongoing. DSLCC is working on a strictly members only basis. Local and club guidelines apply.

There is good news for fans wanting a trip to Uppermill, they have granted spectators on the ground.

We await conformation from Micklehurst for Saturday’s away trip of Kyle’s men. Check social media for updates on this.

Good luck to all 3 senior teams this weekend
